On the boat to Maya bay...
the last day of our trip in Thailand, Carina and I roped half the team into coming with us on a tour of the world-famous Phi Phi Islands and Maya Bay by speedboat. It was almost a disaster, some of the group feeling sea sick after we were (young and therefore tough) pushed up the front of the boat, told not to panic 'no matter what happen' (the tour guide said) and given life jackets...
the boat ride proved to be the most scary but exciting experience, the waves were so choppy we were in the air most of the time...and the inevitable bruising from being thrown about in the front of the boat was evident for days to come.
nevertheless, the scenery honestly had me gushing 'it's so beautiful!' every few seconds and the beaches and water amazing. I've never seen such deep blue waters, and was loathe to leave them.
